During President Prabowo’s state visit to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia signed $27 billion in private-sector agreements spanning clean energy, petrochemicals, aviation fuel, healthcare, tech, and security.
The landmark agreements, inked at Al‑Salam Palace, reinforce energy cooperation, digital innovation, health, defense, and pave the way for a prospective GCC–Indonesia Free Trade Agreement.
On July 2–3, during President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Saudi Arabia, both nations’ private sectors signed a series of agreements and MoUs, totaling approximately US $27 billion. The sectors include clean and renewable energy, petrochemicals, aviation fuel services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, health technology, and digital economy initiatives
The deals reinforce Saudi–Indonesian cooperation on crude oil, derivatives, petrochemicals, refining, and sustainable energy projects, including renewables and storage solutions. Clean energy partnerships include major players like ACWA Power and Indonesia’s sovereign fund Danantara, with potential project funding up to $10 billion
Agreements extend to health and technology, including pharmaceutical production and AI-driven health tech. Co‑operation in defense, counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and information-sharing was reaffirmed—underlining a broader strategic alliance .
The inaugural Saudi–Indonesian Supreme Coordination Council met alongside the signing, guiding implementation and future policy alignment across both Vision 2030 (Saudi) and Golden Vision 2045 (Indonesia) frameworks
