Trump signed 26 executive orders after being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States of America highlighting significant climate, energy, and tariff reforms.

In the first week of Trump’s second presidency, a lot happened!

Withdrawal from WHO, the Paris Climate Agreement, and renaming the “Gulf of Mexico” to the “Gulf of America” are just a few. 

A $500 Bn AI startup and the ease of oil and gas exploration depict Trump’s interest in a broader global market. Furthermore, there is a possible threat of a 25% tariff on Canadian and Mexican goods and a blanket 60% tariff on Chinese imports. Here, Trump suggested that Canada become a US State, which means the trade deficit would vanish. China, however, still faces a significant economic burden regardless of meeting its growth target of 5% in 2024, as it has been a lagging rate for decades. 

The idea of containing China and protecting Western Interests influence Pakistan and China’s deep-rooted, decades-long alliance. 

Trump has made some climate policy shifts to address the US energy crisis, which may discontinue the “Green New Deal”  and “ Biden’s Policies of Climate Extremism.” Yet, the scientific community in the USA is concerned that research areas such as climate change and renewable energy will not be a priority of federal science agencies.  

Trump’s second term brings a series of surprises for every sector in the USA, There is no doubt that Trump’s EOs have a direct impact on the global economy, as the World’s most dominant economic and military power it has direct implications on global matters and the economic market.
